Bio:

Jennifer Troia joined Assembly Bio in 2017 and currently serves as Chief Human Resources Officer, bringing over 30 years of experience in the life sciences industry, ranging from start-ups through commercial stage organizations.

Prior to joining Assembly Bio, she had re-joined Sunesis Pharmaceuticals after spending over four years consulting for multiple organizations in therapeutics and diagnostics. Prior to that, she was Vice President, Human Resources at CoMentis.  Before that, Jennifer served as Vice President, Human Resources and Corporate Operations at Sunesis Pharmaceuticals, where she held leadership positions of increasing responsibility for between January 2001 and August 2008. She played a pivotal role in hiring a national sales force of over 100 employees while working with COR Therapeutics between 1996 and 2001.

Previously, she held positions at Gilead Sciences as well as in the high technology and investment banking industries.  Earlier, she was employed at 3M for seven years.  She is a certified member of the Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM-SCP) and also certified through the Human Resources Certification Institute (SPHR). Jennifer holds a Masters in Human Resources and Organization development from the University of San Francisco.
